Training was put on hold for an evening as the riders descended on team sponsor, East Street Cycles in Farnham for an evening of bike mechanics and beers; many meeting up for the first time...
We donned the new Explore Bipolar T-shirts, and had a couple of snaps taken, before Gary, Phil and the team at ESC attempted to answer our many questions and show us a thing or two about how to keep our bikes running for the duration of the ride. Are we better to run with tubeless tyres? How to adjust a rear derailleur? What spares to carry? It was a long evening, but hopefully we'll retain some of it! The East Street team will be driving to meet us after the first week to give our bikes a once over. Thanks to Gary and the team for an educational and fun evening!
